Using a free dao-mail.com address
Last updated: 2026-09-28
The short version: use it like any other mailbox, don't use it to hurt anyone, and we'll
leave you alone.
What you agree to
- No spam, bulk unsolicited mail, or commercial mailing lists.
- No harassment, threats, or targeting of any person or group.
- No phishing, fraud, malware, or impersonation of anyone else.
- Nothing illegal where you are or where this service is hosted.
- One account per person, unless you have asked us.
- Accounts are for people. Don't run yours from a bot, script, AI agent, or other
automated tool, and that includes automated sign-ups, sending, and mailbox polling. Your
normal mail app on your phone, computer, or in webmail checking for new mail is fine. If you
need email for a bot or an automated system, contact
us first and we'll talk about the options.
What we do
- We don't read your mail, scan it for ads, sell it, or use it to train AI models.
- We keep what you gave us at signup: your address, name, and recovery address, when you
accepted these terms, and the IP address you signed up from, which we also use to look up
the approximate location it came from, for abuse handling. That lookup runs on our own
server; your IP isn't sent to anyone else. We need all of this to handle abuse reports, and
it's deleted along with your account.
- Free accounts get 1 GB of storage and 150 messages sent a day.
- We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. When we can, we'll email your
recovery address first to explain why.
What we do not promise
This is a free service funded by donations. We take good care of it, but we can't
guarantee uptime, so don't make it the only copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
Keep your own backups of important mail.
